Hi Everyone! Here is video log #3 of my garden during the summer of 2021. This was taken at the end of June and shared with my Patrons before being posted here. They get the exciting sneak previews! Lol... I think gardening is really exciting and if you are following all of these posts, then so do you!
Things are looking really great in the garden and many herbs to harvest! Take a quiet moment and watch a hummingbird take a deep drink, and a blue jay say hello. It also has a clue to what August's Patreon package will contain... If you sign up before the end of July, then you will start receiving Patron packages of specially created herbal wonders. I made another mistake when talking about my pineapple weed - I said it looks like Calendula but of course it looks like Chamomile. My mind was hooked on getting the name corrected for the Calendula that is growing right next to it and "Calendula" just popped out. 😅 The Pineapple Weed is also known as wild Chamomile. It looks like Roman Chamomile but does not develop petals around the flower head. Erfurter Calendula, Calendula officinalis Erfurter Orangefarbige, is a deep orange variety and is specifically bred in Europe for its medicinal qualities and higher resin content. Botanica Festival was great! My class was a lot of fun and I made some very good connections during the cool and rainy weekend (which was perfect!). I have several things available for harvesting from my garden. Contact me to arrange to get some herbs. I have: • Yarrow – fresh cut or starters • California Poppy – fresh cut • Lemon Balm – fresh cut • Comfrey – starters • Nettles – fresh cut and seeds! • Oregano – fresh cut or starters • Thyme and Lemon Thyme – fresh cut I have a bunch of seeds too. Just ask. I hope summer is treating you all very well. Thanks for connecting. With Love, Malia
