Viori Shampoo & Conditioner bars. I ordered my first bars about two months ago and chose the Terrace Garden Fragrance set with just one bamboo holder to hold both bars. I l.o.v.e. the smell, and the packaging is beautiful, minimal, and compostable. But most of all, I l.o.v.e. washing my hair with them and how my hair looks and feels after.
The women of the Red Yao tribe wash their hair with Longsheng rice and are famous for their long, strong, healthy hair. This company sources the Longsheng rice at a premium from the Red Yao tribe to make their products. I have very long hair and I am starting to go grey. But not in the graceful, sexy way some women can go grey with still soft, silky and supple hair like in their youth. My hair is going grey with a fuss turning my beloved silky brown locks into cranky, crooked, dried out wanderers. Grey grey haired dramas aside, I love how this product works and smells, I love the clean ingredients, I love their values regarding fair-trade and sustainability, and I love their minimalist, yet highly designed packaging. And that's not a superficial thing either. I want products that don't have as little to do with plastic in their packaging. I got into an email to-do with Quip about their outrageous use of plastic, so now the send me my toothbrush refill heads in a little round paper tube that looks very much like tampon packaging. Bless their hearts. At least it's paper. They still use mylar mailers and charge double the price for a refill head at Target, but we're making progress. I digress. Below is a photo of my bamboo holder in the shower that holds both the shampoo and conditioner bars. It fits nicely and I see no need for two holders unless you have gobs of space in your shower that you just don't know what to do with. The above photo shows the state of my bars to date. I have had them about 2.5 months. I wash my hair every other day, and I would say that the bars are almost half gone. I plan to use the bars as shaving cream when they get too small to wash my hair with. This will eliminate the plastic tubes that my current shaving cream comes in! Which brings me to another thing I like about Viori, they have a flexible subscription plan. I signed up for redelivery every three months, but you can choose several different options and change it at any time to fit with your usage. Finally, my one gripe. Booooo! Down with all of the pop-ups and sideways testimonials coming out at me while I shopped. Thankfully, Once, I set up my account and ordered, I don't really have to deal with that craziness. * I am not an affiliate of this company and am not getting paid in any way from this company. I just like their products and want to share.
